Opus Quad Rec Error + Artwork question

Hi I just bought an Opus Quad.

I picked up the latest, fastest 256GB USB drive.  I formatted it to the exFAT loaded some tracks and started playing.  When I press the Record button (to the same USB) it stops after a few seconds and says "REC ERROR".   So what do I do?  
1) Can you record to the same USB that is beeing used to load the tracks or should I get another one and put in USB 2 slot (for recording)?
2) The solution I read is to get another USB drive but that sounds like trial and error and I have no certainty that if I keep buying diff USB drives they will ultimately work.  
Does anyone have any insight into this?

3) I have a question regarding the art work.  The side screens above each deck display track information but how do I have it display the artwork as well?  Does anyone know?
