DDJ SX - Serato issue - Feedback loop can't stop unless power off

I was told to ask for PULSE to help with this.

When I start playing music with Serato and try to level up the channel volume or move the crossfader I get a droning feedback loop that takes over and won't stop unless I shut off the controller.

I have updated my OS and Serato.  When I play music through the controller (SPotify on laptop) it sounds fine. 

I have never encountered this before. My system was working fine last weekend and when I went to play last night this happened.
