DJM 250 Mk2 - Stable red light channel one - no dvs

I've updated my djm 250 mk 2 with the latest firmware, and drivers on my mac (Sonoro 14.4.1). Rekordbox is acknowledging the mixer being plugged in and I can play records (via technics) on the phono setting. DVS however (line) is not being recognised (using rekordbox timecode). Likewise, no signal is being recognised when recording if I play vinyl through the phono.

Previously the DJM 250 Mk 2 would appear as a sound output in mac sound settings - it no longer appears there. 

I'm now getting a single stable red light that sometimes appears on channel one when there is not output. 

I've reset to default Midi configuration on my mac - when I do this rekordbox waves forms flash as though something has happened - I then get a red error bar at the bottom saying DJM 250 mk 2 is disconnected. 

I've repeated these steps and still the DVS signal is not being recognised.
