Ableton Live Link With Rekordbox and DJS 1000 and XDJ XZ

Ok so my current setup is as such, XDJ XZ, DJS1000, and RMX1000, running in performance mode with Rekordbox. So I have spent a few bucks with Pioneer. I have done the research and I have the understanding that (and this is really silly IMHO) that I cannot Sync BPM with the DJS1000 to Rekordbox (or the other players on the XDJ for that matter.)…. I have the DJS output running into channel 3 on the XDJ. The send from the XDJ to the inputs on the DJS1000. Lan Cable from DJS to Channel 3 on the XDJ. I have the USB on the DJS running to a USB hub on the PC. I also see the BPM of the input on the DJS. Why on earth would that not be the master temp on the DJS!!?? So the system functions as I would like. I use the DJS as a player to write stuff on the fly or play with samples and mix in to whatever is playing on the tables on the XDJ  I did read I could use the Ableton LINK as a workaround to have some sort of sync for BPM for now but this is where I am dead in the water. I paid and downloaded Ableton LIVE and I cannot figure out how to SYNC the Ableton LIVE to the DJS. Back from my production days I needed an interface to connect to my MIDI devices (if that is even how this is supposed to work) but that we eons ago. I just have the DJS1000 connected to the PC via USB. When I select the SHOW LINK BUTTON in Ableton...I get nothing. I do not even see a link button on the Ableton home screen. I also see on the bottom of Ableton an error saying there is no audio device activated. So here is where I am. Can anyone tell me what I am missing here???
