CDJ3000 firmware not updating

Hello,

I have 2x CDJ3000s both running 2.02 firmware. I have a USB stick formatted as MS-DOS (FAT32) with the newest firmware 3.14 file downloaded from https://www.pioneerdj.com/en/support/software/player/cdj-3000/ and unzipped (CDJ3Kv314.UPD). I put this file in the root of my USB stick. I turned on the CDJ3000, pressed and held both the "IN/CUE" and "RELOOP/EXIT" buttons. The message [Connect the USB storage device to the USB port] appeared. I inserted the USB stick and...nothing. I waited 10 minutes and still nothing. I repeated this on the other CDJ3000 and was not able to get it to recognize the file there either.

I tried different formats (HFS+, exFAT) but also got no response from the units. I also tried different USB drives. I'm not sure what else to do.

I'm running a MacBook Pro with M2 Max chip, Sonoma 14.2.1

Any thoughts?
