Subject: Request for Assistance: Repairing Corrupted rekordbox USB Database and Information on Related Files
Body:
Dear rekordbox Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am experiencing an issue with my rekordbox software (version 5.8.1) while transferring music to a USB drive. Specifically, the database on the USB drive seems to be corrupted, and I am seeking assistance to resolve this issue. I have gathered some relevant files and information that I hope will help in addressing this problem.
Here are the files and information I have:
-
Relevant Files:
export.pdbexportExt.pdbRBFLTR.DAT
These files are located in the rekordbox USB database directory. I would like to understand how to open and analyze these files, particularly the files, which appear to be different from the standard PDB files used for protein structure data and may be specific to rekordbox's database format.
.pdb -
PDB File Format Information:
- Details on the format and structure of export.pdb and exportExt.pdb files.
- The purpose and content description of the RBFLTR.DAT file.
I understand that these files may be in binary format, but are there any official tools or methods for opening and analyzing these files? Could you recommend any software or steps for this?
-
Database Corruption Repair:
- Does rekordbox provide an official tool for repairing corrupted databases? If so, could you please provide detailed repair instructions?
- If no official tool is available, could you suggest alternative repair methods or steps?
-
USB Drive Database Location:
- Could you confirm the exact location of the database files on the USB drive so that I can use DB Browser for SQLite to view and edit them (if applicable)?
Thank you very much for your assistance and support. I look forward to your response and hope to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Best regards,
An

Unfortunately, it is not able to repair the Device Library once it is corrupted.
In general, Device is daily connect and disconnected to/from the computer and CDJ.
So, the Device Library is often broken if the Device is not safely ejected from the computer or CDJ.
Please clear the Device and export the tracks and playlists from the Collection again.
Our expect workflow is to prepare/organize tracks and playlists in the Collection and export tracks and playlists to Device when you play out with the Device.
With this workflow, you can export the tracks/playlists again from the Collection in case the Device Library has been corrupted.
