FINALLY SOLVED!!! DDJ 200 Headphone Audio Leak through Speakers when Cueing
The amount of unhelpful posts I’ve had to scroll through to try & resolve this very annoying issue was excruciating to say the least. The amount of posts saying ‘check your sound settings’ & ‘ensure you’ve selected the spliter icon’… & never any proper solution posted or answered at the end of all those previous posts/threads… lol!
Well I’m here to FINALLY save the day and give you the solution you’ve been yearning for… & explain it in layman terms.
The problem is actually the speaker jack that you plug into the splitter cable. I plugged the jack in all the way and then pulled it back out again but only by a couple of millimetres… & hey presto! It resolved the issue! When the jack is plugged all the way in to the splitter cable… it for whatever reason touches more than it should in there which then causes the audio to leak. Very strange as to why they would allow the splitter to do this, but upon more research… apparently it’s existence is for allowing a microphone option as a sort of 3rd split connection… which doesn’t make any sense in my opinion. If that’s the case… then just provide a splitter cable with 3 separate connectors… 1 for headphones… 1 for speakers… & 1 for a microphone. But no… instead, they’d rather we go mad thinking we’re the problem instead… lol!
So there you go guys & girls! I thought I’d do my bit and share this elusive information with you and hopefully save you from buying various cables, or soundcards, or a new controller, or a new laptop… You’re welcome!
Enjoy!
