I am not able to scratch on Pioneer 1000 srt after the right settings.

My controller is on vinyl mode. I have my crossfader set on deck 3 with the crossfader curve turn all the way right. Yet I am unable scratch. Can someone provide a step-to-step correct scratch setting on Serato ddj 1000 srt using Serato dj pro please. What did I not do?. what setting did I leave behind?. Thank you in advance.
