BSOD in Windows 11 caused by DJM-900NXS2
My new Dell XPS 14 9440 laptop is running Windows 11 Pro 23H2.
For years I have been using the DJM-900NXS2 at clubs and my DJM-850-K at home to play my DJ sets with zero issues. I find the sound quality and reliability to be perfect for performance.
However, ever since I got this new laptop I now get random BSOD crashes ever 30-60 minutes whenever playing audio through either of these mixers. The crashing happens regardless of the music software being used to play audio (i.e. Ableton, Traktor, or even just watching a movie through the web browser).
The BSOD dump screen describes the issue as being related to the <mixer model>Audio.sys file.
I have reinstalled the drivers for both mixers multiple times.
I have checked I am on the latest Windows and Dell drivers updates (incl latest BIOS).
I have reinstalled Windows and started from scratch with latest updates and drivers.
The system I am comfortable with and that has been working for many years is now no longer usable for me and I now can't play out until I learn to use the Rekordbox system. I don't have the latest mixer and players at home so I have no chance to learn this stuff. I would just rather stick with what I am used to.
I have noted that pioneer have not updated drivers for either of these mixers for many years for Windows however Mac got updates drivers for these models as recently as April this year. The Windows drivers available online are all 32bit still too which seems crazy to me.
I have gone through previous forum posts with similar issues on Windows 10 but have not seen any up to date posts or comments with Windows 11.
Am I alone with this dilemma? Is there a solution out there?
