Do I have my [ Ableton Link Feature ] correctly configured in performance mode?

I understand that I need to set a Deck as Master but when I change the theme or use the tempo pick on my FLX4 controller this does not change, is there a way to configure this?

or should I request a new feature where they review and improve the Ableton Link options and how it works?

because it seems that it only syncs the tempo when you turn it on and it also does not allow me to easily turn the link on and off via midi or keyboard command
