New CRSS12 Owner—Wait for a New Battle Mixer or Go DJM-S11?
Hey everyone,
I just picked up the new Pioneer DJ CRSS12 turntable and I’m absolutely loving it. Now I’m in the market for a dedicated battle mixer to pair with it. My question: do you think the DJM-S11 is still the way to go, or should I hold off in case Pioneer/AlphaTheta releases a new model sometime soon?
The S11 has been out for a few years now, so I’m wondering if it’s due for a refresh. I don’t want to jump in and buy it only to see a newer version drop right after. But if the S11 is still top of its class (and we’re not expecting a new release anytime soon), I’d rather not wait.
Any thoughts or rumors out there? Is the S11 still worth grabbing, or would you advise waiting to see if Pioneer DJ updates its battle mixer lineup soon?
Thanks in advance for your help!

If there is a refresh coming, they won't let the public know.
When looking at the release pattern, AlphaTheta usually has new hardware to follow up every 4-5 years. With the exception during COVID.
That said, follow the age old rule, if you need it now buy it. Else wait.
As for, is it still worth it. Definitely!
