DDJ REV 7 play button lag stutter serato

hello, i recently purchased the ddj rev 7-(firmware 2.01) - running serato 3.2.4, on a macbook pro 16gb m1 - sequoia 15.2. (I used to be a ddj srt1000 user).

I'm trying to understand why, when i hit the play button, it often lags or stutters ever so slightly.

i understand i have moving turntables now. my stop time on the platters is set to 0. my serato latency is at the lowest setting.. i dont think it's that. my ddj rev 7 torque is set to low.

are there other suggestions, or is just the nature of spinning platters in that i will randomly have a stuttering play?

that would b a hard pill to swallow...
