Should I be able to see the large waveform on the XDJ-RX when using it via a computer over USB

When I use my Pioneer XDJ-RX as a controller for rekordbox (6.8.2) running on my Mac (14.4), should I be able to see the waveform on the controllers display. 

I can see the smaller waveform, showing where I am in the overall track and I can see the large wave form on the Macs screen.

I thought this was normal until I plugged in the exact same laptop and version of Rekordbox into a Pioneer XJD-RR and from there I get the expect behaviour of seeing the large waveform on both the computer and the controller.

The XJD-RX drive is installed.

Unfortunately, the XDJ-RX is not compatible with enlarged waveform.

It is supported from XDJ-RX2.
