DJM- 700 sound leaking channel 3 and 4

Hello, I have an issue with my mixer DJM 700. I can hear the music going even if the volume faders are all the way down on channel 3 and 4, channel 1 and 2 are working just fine. The music is at a lower level than the master's but it's still audible and of course this shouldn't happen; if I turn the "mixing" knob for the headphones all the way to "master" I can hear the music even if  the volume fader is still all the way down, I need to increase the headphones volume quite a lot to hear it but in the end it's there. I also saw online that I'm not the only one having this issue with this mixer btw. I unscrewed the faders' cover and I unscrewed and detached the faders, switching fader 3 for fader 1 and fader 2 for fader 4. After this switch the problem was continuing exactly in the same way as before, I had sound leaking from channel 3 and 4 with their respective faders all the way down while channel 1 and 2 were not leaking. I also cleaned all the faders with Isopropyl alchohol but nothing changed either. I would like to know if anybody has come up with a solution for this issue or if anybody has suggestions on how to tackle this problem. Thanks in advance.

Yves

Hi ludovico celli

Are you having this output leak issue only with the headphones, correct?

Or is the audio also leaking via the master output?

ludovico celli

Yves Sorry maybe I didn't explain myself in the best way, but the main issue is that yes, the leak is via the master output, so I hear it through my speakers, that's the big problem; I added the detail about being able to hear it in the headphones when the "mixing" knob is all the way towards "master" just to add some more information that I thought could have maybe been helpful somehow.

Yves No chance you have an idea on how to solve this problem my friend? :)

Hi ludovico celli

I checked this information with our engineering team and we think it's a hardware failure as channel faders are pretty simple features and they can become physically defective. Also, there is no way to reset the settings on this mixer if you use it in standalone mode, so we would suggest having your DJ unit inspected at one of our Authorized Service Centers.

You can complete our online repair form to a start a repair request and our team will be in touch shortly.

You'll also need to include your Zendesk reference number. This is the ID number used for our correspondence.

The service guys are fully trained and have a wealth of experience working on Pioneer DJ/AlphaTheta equipment. They will be able to test your DJ device fully and advise you on the next steps.

I hope you find the information above helpful and that you can keep DJing soon.
