Transfer library Rekordbox 5 to Rekordbox 7.
Hi!
I have a Macbook pro (mid 2012) that is running slow. So I bought a new Macbook pro (2024).
I'm planning to transfer my Rekordbox library from my old Macbook to my new Macbook. But i can't find any advice or tutorial on Youtube where they transfer a macbook that is running version 5 to a macbook who ius running version 7.
In my Rekordbox on my new Macbook i can choose 'import your library from ver. 5 (or earlier)'. Should I do this? Or should I click on 'Restore library'?
Note: I have already made a backup library on my old macbook and on a hard drive.

"In my Rekordbox on my new Macbook i can choose 'import your library from ver. 5 (or earlier)'. Should I do this?" -> Yes, that is correct.
On rekordbox 5, you go to rekordbox -> file -> library -> backup library.
On rekordbox 7, you go to rekordbox -> file -> library -> import library from ver. 5 and point rekordbxo to the .zip file.
I am trying to do exactly this - transfer my library from an old Mac with Rekordbox 5 to a new one with Rekordbox 7 and can't make it work.
First - are there no other steps apart from the above that need to be taken, eg move the Rekordbox 5 database to an external drive and then move it into the new computer and Rekordbox somehow?
Also, when after backing up the R5 library and putting the zip-file on an external harddrive, when I plug it into the new computer and choose "rekordbox -> file -> library -> import library from ver. 5" - I don't get to choose a file to point to. It just prompts itself to restart Rekordbox, again and again. What am I doing wrong here?
Appreciate a lot guidance on this, thanks.
