Beat Jump behaviour
I'm currently using the latest Rekordbox (7.0.8.0021) and the AZ with the latest firmware (1.1) and I've noticed an inconsistency that could be easily fixed.
Using the XDJ-AZ on standalone mode, if you try and beat jump backwards, it will only jump back if there's the full beat jump number of beats between your current position and the first beat, if there isn't enough, nothing will happen, the button does nothing.
if however, you use the AZ with Rekordbox in performance mode, and you try to beat jump backwards without enough beats in the track to cover the number of beats set in the beat jump, then the beat jump button will just jump you back to the first beat.
not only are these characteristics inconsistent, neither of them are not what I and others would prefer, and it seems many other people who have come to use beat jump on other DJ programs like Serato, Traktor & Virtual DJ have found it very useful when you can effectively jump past the first beat and just let it start playing from the first beat shortly afterwards, handy for short intros where you can have that fader all the way up right from the very first beat, knowing it will kick in exactly where you want it to if you've got the phrasing right, and you will have your hands and attention free to do other things like EQ and effects cos you'd already planned and tee'd up when the next track was going to start, maybe 16 or 32 beats ago.
This same logic could be applied at the end of a track, so the track doesn't "stop" at the end and potentially lose all synchronicity, if you accidentally ran out of track and hadn't set a loop, you could simply beat jump backwards into the same ongoing beatgrid, so the tracks beatgrid effectively extends indefinitely past the beginning or end of the track, and you can jump into and out of those quiet "non-track" areas at will.
EDIT:
I note now that this has been requested since at least 2017 but never considered a high enough priority, which is strange when it's the standard characteristic of beat jump on so many other popular DJ programs, and wouldn't be hard to implement, so now that there is an inconsistency between Rekordbox performance mode and standalone mode beat jump behaviour, now would be the perfect time to both fix that and adopt the behaviour that people have been asking for.

+1 on this!
Every other software does it like that, but Rekordbox and every Pio / AT player cant do it....
Thats the main reason I'm still using Serato with my XDJ-AZ
