Rekordbox Library Sync vs Preferences Sync

It seems, that there is a common misunderstanding about syncing, when working with two PCs (e.g. desktop and notebook). The library syncing between two PCs is quite well documented and does work reliable. 

But all the Rekordbox settings are more difficult to keep synchronized and this is nowhere really documented. This is important, when you work on both PCs (not at the same time!) and when you really want to have also GUI and other settings of Rekordbox identical.

With Rekordbox v7.0.8 it is more complicated, because in the directory C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Pioneer there are now three subdirectories

• rekordbox
• rekordbox6
• rekordboxAgent

with a total file size of about 500 MByte (!!!). I did a one-way-copy from one PC to another PC and the preferences/settings have been copied correctly. However it seems to be still important, that the file "activations.xml" in the subdirectory /rekordbox6/ is not overwritten on the target PC.

I did not try to find out, which files need NOT to be copied. With checking the file modification date after changing settings on one PC this is certainly possible.

Overall this process is too complicated. Saving and restoring program settings is state-of-the-art with good software. And I wonder why Pioneer manager and SW engineers don't have a look on such customer friendly methods.
