Optimizing Performance: Addressing Latency Issues with High-Performance Laptops

I've been experiencing latency issues while using my high-performance laptop with DJ software. Despite meeting the recommended system requirements, I notice occasional audio dropouts and lag during performances. I’ve ensured that all drivers are up-to-date and that no unnecessary background applications are running. Additionally, I've adjusted the buffer size and latency settings within the software, but the problem persists.

I'm currently using an i7 processor laptop, which should provide sufficient power for smooth audio processing. However, even with this setup, I experience performance hiccups, especially when running multiple effects or handling large track libraries. I’ve checked CPU and RAM usage, and while there are occasional spikes, nothing seems to be overloading the system entirely. I’m wondering if there are specific power management settings, ASIO driver configurations, or external audio interface adjustments that could help improve stability.

Has anyone else encountered similar problems with high-performance laptops? Are there specific configurations or optimizations within the software or operating system that could resolve these latency issues? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. All discussions and insights are based on experiences shared within the Pioneer DJ Community.

I have experienced latency issues with my XMG Pro Audio 15. It was mainly driver issues. Often Nvidia drivers.
One important thing to know is that Windows 11 isn't great for low latency on laptops. There is no drawback for desktop.

Reading your post I think you might already have done most of the things in the guides listed below.

BTW, you mention a high performance laptop but don't list the specs. Because an Gen 8 i7 process makes a big difference from a Gen 13 i7.

Unfortunately, I'm also experiencing latency issues with annoying audio dropouts. I'm using an XDJ RX3 with a Lenovo T14S featuring an Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 processor, 32GB of RAM, 128MB of Intel Graphics, and rekordbox 7.2.14.
