Best ASIO Buffer Size Settings for Rekordbox on an i3 Laptop?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently using Rekordbox on my Intel i3 laptop, and while it performs decently, I’m trying to fine-tune my ASIO buffer size for the best balance between low latency and stable performance. Right now, I’m experiencing occasional audio dropouts when lowering the buffer, but increasing it too much adds noticeable delay when cueing tracks.

I’m using a Pioneer DJ controller with the latest drivers, and my i3 laptop has 8GB RAM and an SSD. What ASIO buffer size settings are you using on a similar setup? Also, are there any advanced tweaks (e.g., USB latency adjustments, power settings) that helped optimize performance?

Would like to hear your thoughts!

ASIO buffer size differs per computer.

Since you have a bare minimum spec you're pretty limited.

Consider turning down/off as many features as possible.

  • Waveform draw rate to low
  • Advance > Browse > Display speed unchecked
  • Disable STEMS feature
