music being affected by master tempo button on cdj

hey, recently i have been dealing with the music i produce being extremely affected by the master tempo button on my cdjs. The characteristics of the song are being changed and almost raised in pitch as you increase/decrease the tempo. i have tried fl studio and reason 13 to be left with the same result, i also tries exporting a different song thru fl studio and the song was not affected. does anybody have any leads on what my issue could be? I really do not think it has to do with the production of the music as it would have no issues previously. its almost like something has changed leaving me with almost no was of making playable music, i just dont understand what is causing this all of a sudden. any help would be greatfully appreciated
