Memory Loops in CDJ 3000

This is what I try to achieve: I want to change the status of a memory loop on a CDJ3000 from orange to red or vice versa.

I create a memory loop in Rekordbox (Memory, not Hot Cue) leave it Orange, iE not activated.

Once I am at the club playing on a CDJ 3000 and USB stick I may want to activate that loop (iE turn it Red, so it kicks in automatically when reaching that point).

I want to keep the flexibility to change the status active/non active (iE orange/red), and change the status once the track is already playing live.

Is that possible? and if yes, how to I achieve it?

Thank you

charlotte emma

Set the loop - commit to memory (orange loop) - then click "Memory" again to change the loop between red and orange. Currently the only ...The active loop is automatically activated when you play the track and reach the point where you programmed the loop. In order to program the active loop go to Rekord box. Make a loop, and click the memory button. Then click on  spacebar clicker   the loop icon next to the memory cue in the memory cue list. Definitions. "Loops are short sections of tracks (probably between one and four bars in length), which you believe might work being repeated." A loop is not "any sample, but ... specifically a small section of sound that's repeated continuously." Contrast with a one-shot sample. For this reason hot cues act more of a performance feature than helpful tool. Stabbing melodic notes of a track or triggering vocal loops is only achievable with hot cues.

@charlotte emma. I don't understand what you are saying. At first I didn't feel it necessary to reply. But maybe I just don't understand or haven't noticed. You say "In order to program the active loop go to Rekord box" where is that on a CDJ3000? I have already created a loop on Rekordbox, exported it to a USB Stick and plugged the USB into a CDJ3000. At that moment I don't have access to Rekordbox. What am I missing?
