Looking for a DJ system for open decks

I am a professor at Arizona State University and have been asked to suggest the DJ set up for the University Fitness Centers Open Decks- 

It needs to be flexible and economically reasonable- 

Students use Serato and rekordbox - most want to learn and have time on CDJ 3000s- Ideally- having a stand-alone like the AZ would be great. Can a Serato user plugin their computer and use it as a controller? I like the idea of them needing to learn how to format and prep USB sticks so they are ready for clubs- but not all will need this for their mobile DJ endeavors - Can you provide a couple of suggestions? 

Id love to talk to a product specialist to dive in deep about the options and finds a solution that will last for years.
