I’ve been diving deeper into DJing and using Rekordbox more seriously over the past few months. As I start performing at local events, I want to ensure my setup is as stable and efficient as possible. Specifically, I’m thinking about upgrading my gear to something more reliable—many have recommended a laptop i5 configuration for running Rekordbox smoothly. I’ve seen posts suggesting that pairing an i5 processor with at least 8GB RAM and an SSD can handle multiple decks and effects without issue. Since I want something lightweight for travel but still capable under load, I’m curious if a modern laptop i5 would hold up during longer sessions or live gigs. Any first-hand experience or advice on performance would be greatly appreciated.

Additionally, if anyone has had issues with certain audio interfaces or USB dropouts on these setups, I’d love to hear how you resolved them. Knowing what to avoid can be just as helpful as knowing what works.
