DJM-900NXS Mac OS 15.4 Issue
I’m currently using a DJM-900nexus mixer with a Mac running macOS 15.4 (Sequoia). The device is recognized and mostly functional, but I’m encountering a recurring issue:
After some time of playback, the audio starts to produce random noise or distortion.
In macOS system logs, I frequently see this error:
AppleUSBIORequest::complete: device 2 (DJM-900nexus) endpoint 0x86: status 0xe00002c9 (unknown)
This seems to indicate a USB communication issue — possibly a timeout or data drop.
The same DJM-900nexus unit works perfectly on an older Mac running a previous macOS version.
I have tried the following:
Direct USB connection (no hubs or adapters)
Disabling SIP (System Integrity Protection)
Reinstalling the latest available driver from your website (v4.0.2)
Adjusting buffer sizes and sample rates
Despite all this, the issue persists, and the mixer becomes unusable after a short time due to audio corruption.
Questions:
Is DJM-900nexus officially supported on macOS 15.4?
Is there a known compatibility issue causing these USB timeouts?
Do you plan to release an updated driver (e.g., using DriverKit)?
Are there any recommended workarounds to stabilize USB audio on newer macOS versions?
I’d appreciate any assistance or guidance you can provide.
