XDJ700s - is it possible to switch between laptop/Rekordbox software and player USB inputs?
So, I have a gig coming up with my DJ partner. We want to use 2 x XDJ700s, his DJM-450, my USB flash drives (via the players and Ethernet link) and his laptop. He has a pro key and often uses the laptop (and Rekordbox DJ software) with Technics 1210s. He's familiar with XDJs and CDJs though as we both frequently use them (with USB sticks/flash drives and the ethernet link) to do sets.
So, is it possible to have the laptop connected to his laptop, but for him to use the XDJs as the controllers (IE rather than vinyl) AND then switch to me mixing using the XDJs connected by the ethernet link (IE so I could load tracks from a single USB flash drive on both players as I usually would)?
Apologies if this a dumb question - I have looked at tutorial videos that show how to set up the XDJs to use with a laptop (IE as the controllers), but Ive not found anything that confirms you can easily switch mid set to a more standard ethernet linked XDJ set up.

Thirs para is confusing - sorry, typing quickly. It should say "is it possible to have the laptop connected to the players, so he can use the XDJS as the controllers AND then switch to me using the XDJs as connected by an ethernet cable as I usually would do". Hopefully that is clearer.
I'm not sure if my answer is correct because I'm not sure what your connection status is, but if you connect it as shown below, I think you can release PC control by loading a song from USB when PC control is ON.
