 I played a gig a couple of nights ago (using usb) and mid track the cdj went into emergency loop mode. I sorted it by putting my spare usb into the other side and reset. All good. I noticed before the cdj went into loop mode that someone had put their cellphone up against the cdj to record themselves dancing. Is there a chance the cellphone might have corrupted the usb, being so close?

This sounds more like the person who put their phone against the CDJ hit the USB stick in some way causing the song to not be properly read.

Having a phone next to an USB stick doesn't corrupt your USB. Neither does having it next to a CDJ.
