FLX-10 Recording issue

Issue: DDJ-FLX10 Recording Distorted on New MacBook Pro (Rekordbox 6.8.6)

I’m using a MacBook Pro (new), Rekordbox 6.8.6, and a DDJ-FLX10. When I try to record a set, the audio is distorted, faint, and cuts in and out. I’ve tried multiple setups to troubleshoot:

✅ What I Tested:

  1. FLX-10 with old MacBook Air (Rekordbox 6.8.5) → Recording works fine.

  2. FLX-10 with new MacBook Pro (Rekordbox 6.8.6) → Recording is distorted.

  3. FLX-4 with new MacBook Pro → Recording works fine.

  4. New MacBook, no controller → Recording works fine.

  5. Reinstalled Rekordbox and firmware, restarted, matched settings across laptops → No improvement.

❓ Possible Cause:

Seems isolated to the combination of FLX-10 and the new MacBook, likely due to:

  • macOS audio permissions or blocked Pioneer driver,

  • wrong USB audio routing,

  • or PC MASTER OUT interfering with the record bus.

🛠️ Steps I’ve Tried or Plan to Try:

  1. Check System Settings → Privacy & Security → allow Rekordbox microphone access.

  2. Uninstall and reinstall the FLX-10 driver, making sure to grant Full Disk Access and approve the driver in System Security.

  3. In Rekordbox Audio Preferences, uncheck PC MASTER OUT and use DDJ-FLX10 : MASTER only.

  4. Verify Audio MIDI Setup to ensure FLX-10 is set to 44.1kHz and no aggregate devices are used.

  5. Use Mixer Mode = Internal in Rekordbox for testing.

Looking for help confirming if this is a driver conflict or a known FLX-10/macOS issue. Appreciate any guidance!
