Enable FLX10 DMX Out Support for SoundSwitch
Although I understand why Pioneer DJ might hesitate to enable DMX out support for third-party software, I believe it would be a huge missed opportunity not to do so.
Many mobile DJs already use SoundSwitch as their preferred lighting control system. Restricting the FLX10’s DMX out to only Pioneer’s lighting software will not encourage those DJs to switch—it will simply keep them from buying the FLX10.
On the other hand, allowing DMX out to work with SoundSwitch would encourage thousands of DJs who already love Pioneer hardware to purchase the FLX10. This move would essentially combine the best hardware (Pioneer) with the best DJ + lighting software workflow (SoundSwitch).
Pioneer has everything to gain and nothing to lose by doing this. The DJ community would see this as a bold and positive step—one that prioritizes DJ choice, flexibility, and innovation.
