Rekordbox Pro DJ Link Setup – Huge Improvement with Ethernet Switch

Hi all,

I just wanted to share a positive experience I had recently when setting up Rekordbox with my CDJ-2000NXS2s and DJM-900NXS2. For a while, I was connecting everything directly, but after reading some advice here, I decided to add a small ethernet switch to the setup. The difference has been fantastic.

With the switch in place, all my players link seamlessly to Rekordbox, and track loading is noticeably faster and more reliable. It also makes the cabling cleaner, since I don’t have to daisy-chain devices. Even when I connect my laptop into the network for track browsing and library management, the performance feels stable and responsive.

If anyone is considering a multi-player Rekordbox setup, I’d really recommend using an ethernet switch. It’s such a simple upgrade that makes a big difference in both reliability and workflow.

Has anyone else had similar good results?

Luckily my DJM-2000 Nexus has a built in 6 port Ethernet Switch. I just connect my 2 decks, and my computer to it, and everything runs just as smooth as I'm suspecting you're running now.
