DDJ 1000 not recognised in audio on rekord box

I am getting no signal through my headphones or master output on my DDJ 1000.

I have 2 turntables set up alongside the digital side of the DDJ, both the headphone and master signal is fine when it comes to playing records. However, when I want to play mp3 there is no signal. I have come to tge conclusion that the audio option in the preferences should be selected as DDJ1000, however there is no option for this in rekordbox. Through trial and error and research I have seen that there is a problem with the drivers and Macs. I have a 2019 Macbook pro with Mac OS Sequoia 15.6.1 and rekordbox 7. When I install the driver I don't get a pop up asking me to approve it. I have also gone into settings and there is no option for me to do this there.

I have even gone into terminal and overridden the need for approval for external downloads. 

Can anyone advise me on what to do next please.
