Import Rekordbox.xml after restoring an old backup file

Hi everyone,

Hope anyone can help with the following:

Due to a corrupted backup I had to restore a library backup from 2 weeks ago.

However, I also have an up to date exported Rekordbox.xml

Now I want the up-to-date Rekordbox.xml file to overwrite (or add) the existing cue points, playlists etc from the old zip file backup. I already selected (loaded) the specific Rekordbox.xlm in file > preferences > advanced > Rekordbox.xlm > imported library

But I don't see any new playlists or new cue points.

Dragging the xml file to the sections of the interface doesn't work either. I'm using Rekordbox version 7.1.5 and have a free plan. 

Any suggestion is very much appreciated. It saves me a lot of work if the data from the xml could take update/refresh the backup data. Otherwise I need to manually edit every track based on the information from the xml. And reconstruct playlists the same way. 

Btw the drive and folder location of the tracks hasn't been affected. The music itself isn't part of the backup zip file.
