Audio Crackling and Memory Saturation When Using Spotify in Rekordbox
Description:
When using Spotify integration in Rekordbox, the system appears to experience memory saturation over time, leading to audio crackling and performance degradation.
Setup:
-
Computer: MacBook Pro M3
-
Hardware: 2 × Pioneer XDJ-700, 1 × Pioneer DDJ-XP2
-
Software: Rekordbox (with Spotify integration enabled)
-
Usage: Vocal stem effects applied during performance with xp2 (but not on spotify tracks)
Issue Details:
After approximately 2–3 hours of continuous use, the audio output begins to crackle. The issue can be temporarily mitigated by increasing the audio buffer size, but the crackling reappears after some time. The behavior consistently occurs after playing several tracks from Spotify, suggesting a potential memory leak or caching issue related to Spotify playback within Rekordbox.
