[SOLVED] DDJ-FLX4 – No Sound Output on Rekordbox (Windows 10/11)
After connecting the Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 to Windows 10, the controller is recognized by Rekordbox, but no sound comes out from the device.
Even when selecting DDJ-FLX4 ASIO in the audio settings, Rekordbox keeps switching back to the PC speakers.
The controller works fine on Windows (Media Player, browser, etc.), and all buttons/jogs respond normally — only the audio inside Rekordbox is missing.
🔍 Cause:
The DDJ-FLX4 has three audio routes:
-
Master Out
-
Headphones Out
-
Mic In
If the microphone is disabled in Windows privacy settings, the system blocks the full access of the ASIO driver.
This makes Rekordbox unable to load the proper output channels, forcing it back to the default PC audio.
✅ Solution:
-
Connect your DDJ-FLX4
-
Go to
Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone -
Enable:
-
“Allow apps to access your microphone”
-
“Allow desktop apps to access your microphone”
-
-
Restart your computer
-
Open Rekordbox → Preferences → Audio, then set:
-
Audio: DDJ-FLX4 ASIO
-
Master Output: OUT 1–2
-
Headphones: OUT 3–4
-
💡 Once the microphone access is re-enabled, the sound immediately works again — even on the latest Rekordbox versions (7.x and above).
No need to downgrade or reinstall.
