DDJ FLX4 Turning On Then Lights Going Dim With Midi Light Flashing

I bought this yesterday and was able to get the deck to interact with my laptop/rekordbox once. I was able to load a song onto the board and utilize the controls. That is the only time I've been sucessful and I'm not sure why. Now when I plug my deck in, the lights come on and then about 2 seconds later they dim, the midi light flashes green and I cannot get my deck to interact with my laptop/software. I have tried using many different cords and have even bought a 100w USB-C cable which I plugged into the power port in the deck and into the wall. I have also made sure my laptop is plugged into its charger, and that the USB-C to USB-C cord that came with the product is plugged into the laptop icon on the deck and then into my laptop. I have also tried restarting my laptop, uninstalling and reinstalling rekordbox, downloadind serato, uninstalling and reinstalling my laptops drivers, and handful of other things I've found on the internet, and none have solved the issue.

Are you using Windows 10 or 11?

Nadia Reynolds

umesh.vallabh .

Allow your mic to access to Rekordbox.

Gabriel

From Privacy & security > Microphone, turn on Microphone access.

Turn on "Let apps access your microhone".

Turn on "Let desktop apps access your microphone".

I'm having the same issue.

Gabriel, unfortunately, your troubleshooting did not work. This is super frustrating. Had it running a few times, but now it no longer wants to work properly.

I can connect bluetooth to my iPad but not to my computer :/

Gabriel

You can only connect via bluetooth to a mobile device.

You need wired connection to connect the controller to PC.

Judgement Tha DJ

basically no solution🤦‍♂️

Try the below.

Ensure that no other applications are running during rekordbox usage.

In advanced sound settings disable exclusive mode for all sound devices. https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/how-to-disable-exclusive-mode-in-windows-sound-settings/

Go to the Windows sound controls and ensure that the FLX4 is not assigned as the default input or output device.
