New USB4.0 SSD won't show up on Rekordbox (5.8.7) Devices (Mac OS Sequoia 15.7.1)

I 've formatted the new SSD in FAT32 for the third time, it finally showed up in the RB's "Devices" tab yesterday, I synced my library, played flawlessly yesterday on a gig, all fine. The device will NOT show up in the Devices tab today! Full disk access is granted through System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy, Files & Folders too. What is going on??

Also, what is the suggested place for the RB master db to live on while I am only using an external SSD for playing with an XDJ-RX? Furthermore, where should the xml file be stored? In the external SSD or in the Mac?

make sure you are using a usb cable or a usb c cable and not a thunderbolt cable
