Unused Genre List persists in Rekordbox 7.2.8

Hi all,

I'm encountering a persistent issue with the Rekordbox genre list. In Rekordbox 7.2.8 (and previous versions), I have a large list of genres in the browser that are not assigned to any tracks.

I've tried clearing all genre tags from my library and reinstalling rekordbox...

Despite these steps, the unused genre list remains, showing "0 tracks" for most entries. I cannot find a way to remove these phantom genres from the browser.

My Setup:

• Rekordbox Version: 7.2.8
• Operating System: macOS 14.8.3 Sonoma

Has anyone found a reliable solution for removing these persistent, unused genres from the Rekordbox browser? Any advanced troubleshooting tips are welcome.
