Audio Distortion

I just got a Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 and I’m running into audio issues on my first attempts to use it. When the controller is plugged in, the music coming out of my laptop speakers sounds heavily distorted. As soon as I unplug the FLX4, the audio returns to normal.

For context:

• I’ve previously used Serato  DJ Go, playing audio directly through my laptop speakers, and it worked fine.

• I’ve checked all knobs, faders, effects, trims, and filters to make sure nothing is causing distortion.

• I’ve looked through similar Reddit posts and tried the suggested fixes, but none have helped.

• I’ve fully restarted my laptop.

• The issue only happens while the FLX4 is connected.
