DJM S7 Not Recalling BANK Settings in Standalone mode

Firmware 1.10 - MacOS 15.7

  1. Set up your FX settings in DJM-S7 setting utility
  2. Save to a BANK
  3. Disconnect laptop running DJM-S7 setting utility
  4. Toggle to a BANK you know you have something set in
  5. All the settings is lost and mixer has gone back to Default settings

I know there's already a topic for this for the S11, but the problem exists on the S7 as well. It's especially painful right now while the S7 utility doesn't support the current macOS (Tahoe/26.2). It would also be helpful to access my chosen hardware effects when I connect my iPad or iPhone to use DJay, not to mention using the mixer with CDJs or vinyl records.

If you would consider allowing an option for the mixer to hold the FX bank presets independent of the PC setting utility, I would appreciate it greatly! Thanks, and have a nice day!

In the meantime, I did just figure out how to set the FX Banks manually. Still it would be nice to recall them without the laptop. Thank you for your consideration!

Hi there,

It's understandable that currently the Setting Utility is not working as it should and also understandable that it's more convenient to save the FX setting on the mixer.

In comparison, the DJM-A9 can save FX, but you need to plug a USB drive and the FX setting will be saved on the USB drive or it can be saved on a computer in Export mode.

However, with primary use in clubs and venues, saved FX settings could cause issues when DJing with multiple DJs.
That said, your feedback has been noted and passed on for consideration with future developments, thank you.
