MIDI Mapping on Rekordbox for iOS
I am an active Rekordbox user on macOS and regularly use a third-party MIDI controller with custom MIDI mappings. This setup works very well on desktop and is central to my workflow.
When traveling or DJing on the go, I would like to switch to Rekordbox for iOS. However, at the moment this means losing the ability to use my MIDI controller entirely, since MIDI mapping support is not available on iOS and my controller is not a Pioneer device.
I would like to request the addition of MIDI mapping support in Rekordbox for iOS, specifically the ability to:
- Connect class-compliant MIDI controllers via USB-C
- Create and edit custom MIDI mappings, or import mappings created on macOS or Windows
- Use basic transport, EQ, FX, and deck controls through MIDI on iOS
This feature would greatly improve workflow continuity between desktop and mobile use, make Rekordbox for iOS more viable for professional and semi-professional DJs, and allow users to continue using existing non-Pioneer hardware when away from their main setup.
Thanks,
Rafał
