Potential lighting improvement with minimal dev time: let us split fixtures and assign dmx channels to different sections

Right now we can only assign a single fixture type to a fixture on the right side of the fixture library page utilizing all dmx channels.  If we could assign those to a range of dmx channels instead that would allow more variation to our lighting setups without changing much in the UI or UX.  For example, I have a 40" light bar that has 75 channels, with channels 28 through 75 being each of the 12 sections of the bar.  If I could split the bar and assign every 3 channels (RGB for each section) to another fixture, it would create a lot more variation in the lighting without having to add additional lights.  Currently the entire bar lights up 1 color and it creates a very boring effect but the built in effects can split the bar in 2 sections or even all 12 sections adding a lot of color options and movement.  I imagine being able to drag and select or typing in a series of dmx channels and then essentially assigning those to a new fixture.  I could assign every 3 channels as a new bar light or par and RB lighting could control those as if they were independent lights.  We also really need to be able to utilize WAUV as well as built in strobe and blinder lights if our lights have them built in.  There's no reason why I can't tie the strobe lights in my bar into the strobe effect by assigning it as a strobe in the lighting scenes.  RB lighting has the potential to be one of the best options on the market but it just needs a little more work.
