New Setup - Need Help

I just purchased 2 CDJ3000s and a DJM-A9. I'm trying to get everything setup with my laptop/rekordbox. I have the mixer connected directly to the laptop. I also have the gigabit ethernet switch with the mixer and both cdjs connected and then the switch connected to the laptop. Rekordbox is in performance mode. I can control the playlists on both cdjs. 

I have both cdjs connected to the mixer via digi cable, channel 1 and 4. The cdjs are set to player 1 and 2. The input in rekordbox is set to match the inputs for 1 and 4. 

When I hit play on a track on cdj 1, I can see the mixer receiving the input, there is no sound out on master or in head phones. Deck 2 I hit play, and there is no input on mixer. The channels for both cdjs on the mixer are set to USB A(my laptop).

The speakers are connected to the mixer via XLR to master. 

2 questions:
1. why is there no sound?
2. why is deck 2 not registering any input from the 2nd cdj?

This is my first setup, I already called tech support from the company I purchased the gear and the guy had less knowledge about the setup than I did.

I'm happy to provide any details needed, would love to get this working so I can start using the gear. Thanks
