have u tried different cables different ports and restarting laptop??

Sorry to say but the DDJ-SZ is no longer officially supported, therefore full functionality cannot be guaranteed, especially with newer updates and operating systems.

There's a solution to this problem: you need to install rekordbox 5.8.7 for OS X, and 5.0.1 for Windows.
That's what I did, and everything works.
