CDJ 2000 NXS2 BPM Sync Out Of Phase with XDJ-XZ
Hello!
Long story short, I got a CDJ 2000 NXS2 secondhand. I've been using my XDJ-XZ for a very long time with no sync issues. Even recently got a DJS-1000 with no issues over pro-link/beat sync. I'm having lots of troubles with this CDJ trying to beat sync. No matter what I play, which player is the master, or what bpm the tracks are, every file I play on the CDJ is ever so slightly behind. I've even tested with the same track playing simultaneously (synced) with the CDJ and a player on the XDJ and still get the same result. Also, if I select any of the 3 players to be the new master, the phase resets back to whatever timing the CDJ is following (ie if the master is Jog R on the XDJ and I've "fixed" the phase on the CDJ, switching the master to Jog L on the XDJ or the CDJ itself immediately throws the CDJ back out of phase). What makes this more confusing is that the phase meter on the CDJ appears to think that the out-of-phase timing is correct, and anytime I move it back to the correct phase it thinks that I'm slightly off. All connections are rock solid and cables are basically new. I also tried updating both the XDJ and CDJ to the latest firmware to see if that was the issue (v1.26 for XDJ and v1.87 for CDJ). Quantize is enabled on both the XDJ and the CDJ, and I've also tried without the DJS connected. The DJS has no issues syncing at all.
I've also verified that my beat grids are accurate for the tracks I have tested. I've used this USB on several models ranging from 2000s to 3000s and have never encountered an issue like this. For some tracks almost unexplainably, the issue does not occur.
Is there something obvious I'm missing? Are there certain specifications for ethernet link cable I need to follow (mine is a Cat6a)? Is there a problem with my CDJ? Is there a deeper compatibility issue with the XDJ-XZ?
