rekordbox guidance on level meters

[using rekordbox 7.2.11 on macOS 26.4, MBP M3 Max]

What is the guidance from AT/rekordbox team on what constitutes "too much" of a signal strength? I have been setting my output so the level meters just touch the red section. But even when I a bit more than just "touch" it, I still don't hear any noticeable distortion. What do you recommend as far as maxing out levels to the optimal point?
