Laptop audio routing through XDJ-AZ

Hi all,

Just converted to an all in one (XDJ-AZ) from using Traktor S4 MK3.  I want to have my laptop audio route through the soundcard in the AZ, but for some reason I can't get the signal to play through the controller.  I have the audio set in my Macbook pro correctly, but no sound out when I play something from the laptop.  I have been able to get it to work, but only if I open rekordbox in export mode, with Link on and start playing a track first, then the signal will play from my laptop on channel one.  I shouldn't have to open Rekordbox and start a track to get something from m laptop to play.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
