Beer spillage

Hi guys. This past Saturday someone sippled beer on my DDJ GRV6. I wiped up most of the beer but it seeped through the jog wheel. The next morning I powered it up and thankfully everything works but the jog wheel is a bit tight and has a scratching sound. Any tips on how to fix this. A friend of mine recommended crc qd contact cleaner to get rid of the sticky residue. Thank you in advance.
