CDJ-3000X Wifi Link to RekordBox does not work
Trying to connect my CDJ-3000X to my RekordBox for ProDJ link over Wifi but it does not work. No "Link" appears in RekordBox, no source is shown on the CDJ.
- Yes they are on the same network (tried both 2.4GHz and 5GHz)
- Yes I've tried every possible setting in the router (for both bands yes)
- Yes all Firewalls are off on the Macbook and the router
- Ping from Macbook to CDJ works just fine
- Tried over a Wifi-hotspot on my phone. Does not work either.
- Connecting via LAN-cables works just fine (via the same Asus router)
- Connecting via LAN-cables works just fine (no router, direct connection to Macbook OR with a simple switch)
- Also tried Rekordbox running on a Windows machine. Does not work. (Surface Pro 10)
Rekordbox version: 7.2.14
CDJ-3000X firmware: 1.31
MacBook Pro 14 inch 2023, MacOS Tahoe 26.5.1 (25F80)
Asus TUF AX4200 Wifi -router, firmware: 3.0.0.4.388_33965 (latest)

Oh never mind. It apparently is not supported over Wifi afterall. Well I hope someday it will be.
From the manual:
Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) connection
- Connect to the internet via wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) on the unit.
- To use PRO DJ LINK, connect the unit and a DJ mixer with a LAN cable via a switching hub.
Since wired Pro DJ Link works but WiFi doesn’t, the issue is most likely with wireless discovery (Bonjour/mDNS) being blocked or not properly forwarded on your network. Even though ping works, Rekordbox relies on multicast discovery over WiFi, which many routers (including some ASUS TUF models) handle poorly by default. Try enabling “Multicast Routing / IGMP Snooping” or disabling AP isolation, and also test with a completely open guest SSID without extra routing rules. Your allnet20 style setup checks out in terms of basic connectivity, so this is likely a discovery-layer issue, not device pairing.
