Reverb crunchy and glitching on XDJ-RX3

Hey - 
My reverb is super crunchy on my RX3. When I turn it on, it'll stop and start working every few seconds, making a super loud, crunchy sound that takes up the full volume of the song and destroys your ears. Also, there are times when I turn on the effect via the vx button, but with the knob all the way turned off, and it'll still make that super loud, crunchy sound. I made sure my trim, master vol, and speaker vol were all at reasonable levels to confirm the reverb was the culprit, and it was. Also, my tracks are properly mixed and mastered, and are all through good downloaded audio files. Please assist.
