Rekordbox 7.2 on Windows does not display new iTunes playlists located inside Playlist Folders
Setup:
- Windows
- Rekordbox 7.2.x
- iTunes with XML sharing enabled
- Rekordbox correctly configured to use the current iTunes Library.xml file
Issue:
New iTunes playlists are detected by Rekordbox only when they are created at the root level of the iTunes playlist structure.
However, as soon as I move one of these playlists into an iTunes Playlist Folder, the playlist disappears completely from the iTunes section in Rekordbox after a refresh.
The Playlist Folder itself is visible in Rekordbox, but the playlists contained within it are not.
Troubleshooting already performed:
- Verified that iTunes Library.xml is updated every time a playlist is created or moved.
- Confirmed that "Share iTunes Library XML with other applications" is enabled in iTunes.
- Confirmed that Rekordbox points to the correct XML file.
- Refreshed the iTunes library in Rekordbox multiple times.
- Created a brand-new Playlist Folder called "TEST":
- The folder appears in Rekordbox.
- A playlist created inside that folder does not appear in Rekordbox.
- Created a playlist at the root level of iTunes:
- It appears immediately in Rekordbox.
- Moved that same playlist into the TEST folder:
- It disappears from Rekordbox after refresh.
Question:
Is this a known issue or limitation in Rekordbox 7 regarding iTunes Playlist Folders on Windows? If not, is there any setting or workaround that allows Rekordbox to display playlists located inside Playlist Folders?
