Rekordbox 7.0.9.0007 - lagging / freezing / spinning wheel

Hi, 

Recently my rekordbox version 7.0.9 has started lagging when I try to take any action within the interface (e.g. manually adding hot cues, skipping to a certain point in the track, changing the track by clicking on it within playlists) - basically anything i click, it takes a good 10-20 seconds to do. Its not responsive and the spinning wheel often pops up between actions. I've tried a few things, such as increasing the audio buffer size (this was recommended online) but that didn't do anything. Even when I try to open the application, it is very slow and not visible immedietely. Its unusable at the moment and I can no longer prepare my sets efficiently so any advice would be appreciated. 

I'm using a macbook, and using the system MacOs Ventura.
